Who are our lock partners?

When it comes to safety and security, Travel Sentry are the market leaders, and they’re our partner of choice when it comes to locks. Travel Sentry set the standards and provide solutions to help ensure that baggage arrives at your destination without delay or damage. We only use their TSA approved locks on our cases, which are also approved by other various security agencies who monitor luggage through customs.

All Travel Sentry locks bear a Red Diamond logo. Each lock has a special code, ranging from TSA001 to TSA007, and these are used by the TSA, CATSA and other security agencies to know which secure tool to use to open the lock.

Are Antler locks TSA approved?

Yes, they are – there, that was an easy one!

What does TSA stand for, and what does it do?

TSA stands for the Transportation Security Administration. It’s an agency within the US Department of Homeland Security that has authority over the security of the travelling public in the United States. Chiefly concerned with air travel, the TSA employs screening officers in airports, armed Federal Air Marshalls in planes, and mobile teams of dog handlers and explosive specialists. They have stringent demands in regard to accessing luggage for security purposes, and thus staff possess a special and secure tool to open locks as needed; a tool which is unavailable to the general public.

Where can I use my TSA approved lock?

Travel Sentry and their TSA locks are used in 600 airports in 20 countries, by 1.6 billion travellers annually. These countries are listed here: www.travelsentry.org. They are a global standard and are not limited where they can be used. In fact, there is no place where Travel Sentry locks cannot be used.

Why does Antler use TSA approved locks?

Because there is no destination where Travel Sentry locks cannot be used - everyone should lock their luggage, and if they are using Travel Sentry TSA Locks then they can travel safely and securely.

Where can I get a secure tool to open the lock on my case?

This is a tool only available to airport security services, and is not available to the general public.

What happens if I forget the combination code to my lock?

Treat the combination for the lock on your suitcase like your PIN code for credit card and use something that it only known to you, and is easy to remember. We’ve provided space at the back of our warranty booklet that comes with your case, so you can write it down as a handy reminder. As part of our warranty, we are unable to cover issues with combination locks that arise from the incorrect setting of the lock, if the lock is used incorrectly, or if it has been forced open.
