Locks

What are TSA locks?

All our Antler suitcases come with a TSA combination lock as standard. They allow you to lock your case so that you can protect your valuables when your luggage is in the hold, whilst allowing the appropriate security authorities, in the USA, to search your bag without breaking the lock. If you aren’t planning on travelling to the USA you can still use a TSA lock like you would any other padlock. The TSA locks are not supplied with a key; the key lock is for TSA custom purposes only.

Are TSA Locks Travel Sentry Approved?

sentry_approved

Yes, the Transport Security Administration (TSA) screeners and airline check-in staff at airports in the USA are trained to recognise the Travel Sentry logo. They understand that luggage with locks displaying this mark are permitted to remain locked. TSA screeners have access to special tools that allow them to open these locks in the event that the luggage must be opened for inspection. With Travel Sentry Certified locks the TSA can screen checked luggage faster, without having to break open locks.

We are very sorry - for security reasons the TSA lock passcode needs to be remembered. For this reason our warranty does not cover the wrong setting of combination locks.
